30 QUESTIONS YOU SHOULD ASK YOUR SOCCER ORGANIZATION

Soccer is the best game for children, and its great that your child wants to play. One of the best things about soccer is that there's a place for every child...to help you find the right place for your family, here are some questions you should ask before joining an organization.


1.Is your organization affiliated with the United States Youth Soccer Association?
2.Does your organization offer a choice between recreational and competitive programs?
3.Does your organization seek to place children at a level of play which is right for their long-term goals and current ability?
4.Does your organization use referees trained by the United States Soccer Federation? How many and does your organization require constant in-service training and evaluations?
5.How many coaches in your organization are "parent" coaches?
6.How many coaches in your organization have State or National coaching licenses?
7.Does your insurance include medical coverage which also covers practice and injuries which are suffered on the way to or from soccer events?
8.Does your organization offer any form of player evaluations? g.Does your organization offer the opportunity and choice to play on teams that compete for championships or travel to tournaments?
10.Does your organization offer the opportunity make All-Star teams, play in All-Star games, and try out for premier level teams?
11.Does your organization offer a formal indoor soccer program for those children who want to play the game during the winter months?
